Britain will use its role as host of a summit of the G8 group of nations next week to try to get both sides in the Syrian conflict to attend a peace conference, Prime Minister David Cameron said on Wednesday, June 12.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is scheduled to meet with a group of 11 people regarding the Gezi Park protests today at 4 p.m. The group consists of artists, academics and students, Anatolia news agency reported, without revealing the names.
