New Zealand Calls for Diplomatic Solution to Iran N. Crisis

A01981409.jpgNew Zealand’s Prime Minister Helen Clark says diplomacy is the best way to resolve Tehran-West standoff over Iran’s nuclear issue. Iran has reached a key goal in its nuclear program, which it has vowed to continue despite United Nations’ sanctions.

Ms Clark says she would be surprised if reports that the United States is poised to attack Iran are correct.

She says New Zealand’s position is for the matter to be resolved diplomatically and there are genuine efforts by the UN Security Council to do so.
