Russia Denies Rumors on Iran’s Peace Initiative

A02896656.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Russia has not received any proposals from Iran concerning establishing a security zone in the Caucasus, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters.

The minister though stressed that Iran was interested in getting involved in a discussion on this issue.

It is worth mentioning that information appeared in mass media yesterday that Tehran had elaborated on a list of initiatives set to establish a security zone in the Caucasus and was going to submit its ideas to Russia.
