Bulgarian visas for citizens of Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro lifted

As of December 19, 2009, visa regime for citizens of Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro will be lifted, Bulgarian Foreign Ministry announced.

The visa lifting is valid only for the citizens of these three countries who have biometric passports. People who still have old passports will not take advantage of the visa rejection and will have to stick to the old procedure.

The visa lifting is valid for holder of Serbian passports issued by the Serbian Coordination Directorate.

Citizens of Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro, who are can to the border without visas will be allowed to stay in Bulgaria for up to 90 days within six-month time period.

The requirement for issuing a visa for long-term stay is preserved. Procedures for obtaining the document remain unchanged.
