Croatia-Serbia border committee meets

The interstate diplomatic committee for the identification and marking of the border between Croatia and Serbia has continued negotiations in Zagreb.

The committee met on Thursday after a seven year break.

This body will also prepare the agreement on the state border between the two countries.

According to the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the heads of delegations, State Secretary at the Croatian Foreign Ministry Davor Božinović and Assistant Minister and Head of the Directorate General of Bilateral Relations at the Serbian Foreign Ministry Zdravko Ponoš expressed satisfaction that the committee, established in 2001, has resumed its work.

They also expressed readiness of both sides to continue the work on solving the border issue.

The committee members discussed the current situation on the border and evaluated it as good.
