Macedonian PM: Parliament may dissolve on March 31

March 31 is the perfect date for the parliament to dissolve and to call early parliamentary elections, said Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski. According to him, it is within the authorities of the parliament’s chairperson to set a sitting and he expected it to be this week.

The opposition, on the other hand, said that the prime minister is contradictory in his statements.

“How come the prime minister plans to dissolve the parliament on March 31, since parliament’s agenda envisages discussion on the new elections code scheduled for April 1,” said the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM).
