Balkan UNESCO summit started

Serbian President Boris Tadić opened the ninth UNESCO summit South-East European heads of state on Friday morning.

The summit dubbed “Contemporary Art and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe” is held at the Viminacium archeological site, eastern Serbia.

The summit started just after 10:00 CET on Friday.

Croatian President Ivo Josipović, Montenegrin President Filip Vujanović, Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov, Albanian President Bamir Topi, Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov and Bosniak representative in the Bosnia-Herzegovina three-person presidency Bakir Izetbegović are attending the meeting.

After the plenary session, the participants will visit Viminacium, one of Europe’s most famous archeological sites.
