Saudi ambassador meets Pakistani President to discuss bilateral relations

The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia here Dr. Abdul-Aziz Ibrahim Al Ghadeer met with the Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday, said an official press release.

The Saudi ambassador congratulated the President on assuming his new responsibilities as President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Pakistan-Saudi bilateral relations were discussed during the meeting. The Ambassador also met the Federal Minister for Finance, Senator Ishaq Dar and discussed with him the economic situation in Pakistan.

The Federal Minister said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close brotherly relations linked with bonds of religion, culture and history. Mr. Dar said that his government’s economic measures showed good results in July 2013 and that the conclusion of a programme with International Monitory Fund (IMF) and economic measures of the government have provided comfort to International Financial Institutions who are now approaching Pakistan to do business with.
