France deplores "forced resignation" of Yemen President

France on Friday deplored what it said was the “forced resignation” of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and his Prime Minister Khaled Bahaa.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Yemenis should work for the unity of the country and the continuity of its institutions. Paris also called for the formation of a government of national unity and the pursuit of a transition process which would respect the framework agreed after a GCC initiative and the conference on national dialogue.
France “demands the immediate withdrawal from Sanaa of all militias and the liberation of all public buildings,” the Foreign Ministry said.
