The hostage release deal: Despite the announcements of a deal to release some of the
abductees and a ceasefire on November 23, starting at 10 a.m., as of now the agreement has
not been implemented and the timetable for its implementation is unclear. According to
Isma’il Haniyeh’s advisor Taher al-Nunu, the discussions are currently not about the
agreement itself, but about the mechanisms for its implementation. Senior Hamas and
Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist figures were interviewed by various media where they
discussed the agreement and its terms. The PIJ operatives noted its coordination with Hamas.
