Macedonian PM has phone talk with Greek counterpart

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski had a phone talk with his Greek counterpart Georgios Papandreou.

Gruevski’s cabinet announced that the talk was held at the initiative of the Macedonian prime minister.

Gruevski and Papandreou discussed several issues of mutual interest, including the economic situation in the two countries.

The press release of the Macedonian government also says that the conversation was aiming at improving the relations between the two countries and finding a solution to the name dispute.

Earlier Gruevski sent a letter to Papandreou, inviting him on a meeting in Macedonia or somewhere else to examine possible solution to the name dispute.
