Slovenian premier visits Serbia

Slovenian PM Borut Pahor will today arrive here for a one-day visit, and a meeting with his Serbian counterpart Mirko Cvetković.

Pahor is also due to meet with President Boris Tadić and Parliament Speaker Slavica Đukić-Dejanović.

Later during the day, he will travel to the town of Inđija, north of Belgrade, where he will open a new factory alongside the head of the Vojvodina provincial government Bojan Pajtić.

The Metal-Cinkara factory is a Slovenian investment worth EUR 21mn. Slovenia’s STA news agency reports that thus far Slovenia invested EUR 1.7bn in Serbia, and says this created 22,000 jobs.

Pahor will also during his visit open the premises of the new Slovenian embassy in Belgrade.
