The Egyptian Navy received its second Type 209/1400 submarine, the S42, in a ceremony on Tuesday in Kiel City, Germany. Commander of the Egyptian Navy Ahmed Khalid Hassan raised during the ceremony the Egyptian flag on the submarine, manufactured by the German company ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems.
