Iranian Disciplinary Force Members Released

Commander of the disciplinary force in the Iranian eastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan elaborated on the freedom and release of the Iranian nationals taken hostage by the terrorist bandits. Mohammad Ghafarri said in Zahedan, center of Sistan and Baluchestan province today that in February 2007, three members of the disciplinary force were martyred by the armed bandits while an officer and 4 soldiers were taken hostage.

Ghaffari added that with the cooperation of the Pakistani police and the Iranian security, judicial and disciplinary authorities, the bandits were arrested and in late March 2007, three hostages were freed from the clutches of bandits in Pakistan and returned home yesterday.

He added that there reside controversial news about the fate of the fourth Iranian hostage, however, the case is under investigation by the authorities in charge.
