US Terror Report Dismissed

TEHRAN, April 29–Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi said on Saturday dismissed the US State Department’s annual report listing countries that support terrorism.
According to IRNA, Asefi added that the US administration has named countries, which oppose its policies and criticize the crimes of the Zionist Israeli regime, as supporters of terrorism.
“But the United States is the main supporter of the (criminal) Zionist regime and is therefore not competent be a judge on this issue,“ he said, noting that it should account for the crimes committed by the Zionist regime.
He further said that the wrong US policies and actions have intensified violence and increased acts of terrorism in different parts of the world.
“The campaign to end terrorism will only succeed in cooperation with members of the international community and by addressing its root-causes such as discrimination, injustice and poverty,“ he said.
US State Department’s Coordinator for Counter-Terrorism Henry Crampton, in a report on Friday, claimed that Iran is the biggest supporter of terrorism.
