A0244292.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei here on Wednesday stressed that Hajj ritual should serve as a mirror reflecting Muslim unity while it should also pave the ground for closer ties among the world Muslims.

“Under such conditions that the world arrogance treats Muslims so violently and mercilessly, showing Muslims’ stance on such a behavior is considered as one of the most vital issues to be displayed during Hajj ceremony,” the Leader underscored.

Noting the gigantic potentials and capabilities of Hajj due to the presence of millions of Muslims from different nations in one place and at a single time, which is accompanied by unique individual, social and international effects, he described Hajj as the best opportunity for closer bonds among Muslims, and continued, “Attention must be paid to the very fact that enemies are striving to turn Hajj into a ground for deepening Muslims’ differences and fomenting conflicts between Muslim Shiites and Sunnites.”

He also called on Saudi Arabia to prevent enemy agents from sowing seeds of discord among Muslims.

“Under such conditions when enemies view Islam as the main obstacle in their way to dominate Muslim countries and their interests and promote their own culture and under such circumstances where enemies treat Muslims through arrogant and Zionist instructed methods, it is the right of Muslims to state their stance in the face of such behavior, and Hajj is the best time and place for crying out the stance of the Islamic Ummah (nation),” Ayatollah Khamenei added.
