Iran, Tajikistan Ink Agreement on Education

A02626688.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian and Tajik Education and Training ministers signed a 19-article Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on educational cooperation.

The MoU which was signed during the three-day visit to Tajikistan by Iran’s Education and Training minister Mahmoud Farshidi includes cooperation on short-term OJT courses for Tajikistan’s Persian-language teaching university professors in Iran, publication of 400 thousand school text books in Iran, setting up of exhibitions and stores for the sale of Iranian children’s books and related products in Tajikistan, exchange of student groups, establishment and launch of operation of an international school in Tajikistan, exchange of experts and holding of educational festivals.

The visit to Tajikistan by Iranian education and training minister took place at the invitation of his Tajik counterpart in mid-January.
