Iranian VP Felicitates Greek PM

A02539505.jpgIran’s first Vice-President Parviz Davoudi extended his congratulations to Konstandinos Karamanlis and the Greek government and nation on his appointment as the country’s prime minister.In his message, Davoudi pointed to the two countries’ high potentials for the further expansion of mutual relations, and expressed the hope that Iran and Greece would witness a new era of expanded ties based on mutual interests.

Elsewhere, he pointed to the recent progress made in the talks between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) negotiations, and voiced Tehran’s inclination to brief Athens about its nuclear stances and to exchange views about its nuclear issue.

Davoudi also extended his condolences to the Greek premier and nation on a recent fire incident which claimed the lives of a number of citizens in that country.
