Jonas Gahr Store made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Norway Abdolreza Faraji Rad.

During the meeting, the Iranian envoy underlined transparency in Tehran’s nuclear activities, reminding that the recent report by the IAEA Director General, Mohamed ElBaradei approved the truthfulness of Iran’s information.

He expressed regret over the political approach and treatment of Iran’s nuclear issue, and underlined, “The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue cooperation with the agency and it has so far responded to a majority of the questions posed by this international body.”

Further in the meeting, the diplomat submitted a written message from Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki to Store, and called on Norway to practice influence to foil further politicization of Tehran’s nuclear case and render continued support for Iran-IAEA cooperation.

For his part, the Norwegian foreign minister said Oslo is pleased with Iran-IAEA cooperation.

“This (IAEA) report has provided us with more information about the background of this case. We request the Islamic Republic of Iran to continue its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency until the achievement of final results,” Jonas Gahr Store said.
