Iranian Envoy Meets Filipino President

TEHRAN (FNA) Iran’s new ambassador to Manila Ali Mojtaba Rouzbahani submitted his credentials to the Philippines’ President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in a meeting on Sunday.

During the meeting, where the Iranian envoy conveyed President Ahmadinejad’s warm regards to Arroyo, the two sides explored avenues for the expansion of ties and bolstering of mutual cooperation.

The Filipino chief executive, for her part, expressed her warmest regards for Ahmadinejad, and hoped that the two countries’ relations would further develop.
