Wilayah of Kabarda, Balkaria and Karachay. Russian Special Police Car Attacked near Nalchik

Friday evening, 11 Muharram 1429 (18.01.2008), an armored car of a Russian special police unit was attacked by gunfire in the village of Hasanya on the outskirts of Nalchik. Several bullets hit the vehicle, but according to Russian media, there were no casualties among the police. After the attack Russian forces closed off several living quarters near the incident site, trying to find the attackers, but to no avail.
