Iran: All IAEA Questions Responded

A00423959.jpgTEHRAN (FNA) – Tehran has responded to all questions about its nuclear program, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman announced on Tuesday, reiterating that transparency of his country’s nuclear activities has been approved by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini made the remarks in a meeting in Bahrain with the country’s deputy foreign minister.

Hosseini, who is heading a delegation of senior media directors in the visit to Bahrain, noted Iran’s voluntary, transparent and constructive cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog agency, and reminded that the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear programs has even been approved by the recent US National Intelligence Estimate (NIE).

“Nevertheless, no change has been unfortunately observed in the unconstructive attitude of the 5+1 – the five permanent UN Security Council members (Russia, China, Britain, France and the US) plus Germany – and the negative ploys and propaganda and excuse-seeking (of the West) continue despite Iran’s constructive cooperation,” he said.

Hosseini, who is also a special aide to the Iranian foreign minister, further pointed out that Tehran expects western countries to account for their actions vis-à-vis international regulations and refrain from blockading the rights of nations.
