Omani Deputy PM to Visit Iran

A02802415.jpgTEHRAN (FNA) – Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs Fahd bin Mahmud al-Said is due to pay a visit to Iran in the near future, Tehran’s ambassador to Masqat said here on Monday.

Morteza Rahimi told FNA the visit would take place at the invitation of Iranian First Vice-President Parviz Davoudi.

He further noted the two countries’ growingly developing ties in the various political, economic and cultural areas, and said, “According to experts, Iran and Oman enjoy top political relations. This is a reality which is growing on a daily basis.”

The envoy pointed to the two countries’ continued view-exchanges , and said Tehran and Masqat have “eye-catching cooperation and consultations in the international arena” as well.

He said that the regular exchange of visits by officials of the two Muslim states is aimed at further enhancement of all-out ties.

The diplomat also hailed the excellent achievements gained during Iran-Oman political committee meeting held in Masqat in February.
