Blast in Afghanistan’s Kandahar was controlled

A12342343.jpgKANDAHAR, Afghanistan – A blast that shook Afghanistan’s southern province of Kandahar on Monday, was a controlled explosion carried out by the Afghan army, officials said.

The blast occurred to the west of the city of Kandahar, where more than 100 people, most of them civilians, were killed in a suspected suicide attack last week.
