Ukraine will stick to gas export obligations: PM

KIEV – Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko pledged on Wednesday that Ukraine would stand by its obligations to export Russian gas to Europe and remain a “reliable partner”.

“Ukraine is a reliable partner. We will not stray one iota from our obligations in terms of exporting natural gas to European countries,” she told a regular cabinet meeting a day after Russian gas giant Gazprom halved supplies.

“This is very important for Ukraine.”
