Iran Favors Regional Technical Cooperation

A04090037.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- An Iranian official voiced Tehran’s willingness to share its technical expertise in the field of telecommunications with other countries.

“Tehran aims to increase its international and regional cooperation in telecommunications, particularly with countries that share cultural similarities with Iran,” press tv quoted Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology Kamal Mohammadpour as saying.

“The development of regional countries depends on their ability to work with each other,” he noted, addressing the opening session of an international course titled ‘Optimal Use of Spectrum in Cellular Networks’ held in Isfahan on Sunday.

Mohammadpour also called on the members of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) to enhance their regional cooperation.

He further commented that among ITU member states, China and India have little interaction with other countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
