Iranian Turtles to Fly to Bahrain

TEHRAN (FNA)- Bahrain’s Human Rights International Film Festival is slated to screen the prominent Iranian filmmaker Bahman Qobadi’s Turtles Can Fly.

Turtles Can Fly will be screened along with 20 other feature length films and documentaries focusing on human rights issues, press tv reported.

Organized by Bahrain’s Society for Public Freedom and Democracy Support, the event will be held from May 1 to 4, 2008 as the first of its kind in the region.

Bahman Qobadi was chosen by the World Economic Forum as one of the Young Global Leaders of 2008. His Turtles Can Fly has won numerous international awards including the best film award of the 52nd edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival.
