Iran, Qatar Review Cooperation in Border Security

12SADASD12.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian and Qatari officials attended a joint meeting in Doha on Thursday to discuss security at the two countries’ borders.

During the two-day talks at the Ritz-Carlton, which was the 6th meeting between directors of Coast and Border Security Departments of the two countries, the two sides discussed border security, particularly issues related to various private and commercial boats.

The Iranian delegation was headed by the Chief of Iranian Border Guards Brig. Gen. Kazem Rezayee, while the Qatari team was led by the Director of Coasts and Borders Security Department, Staff Brig (Navy) Ali Ahmed Saif al-Badeed.

During the meeting, the head of the Iranian delegation highlighted the historical relationship between the two friendly countries and appreciated the role of Coasts and Borders Departments of both sides in maintaining security and safety in both countries.

“This was a good opportunity to discuss various important subjects related to coast and border security in both the countries,” Ali Ahmed Saif al-Badeed said following the meeting.
