Turkish court to make statement on Wed: NTV

ANKARA (Reuters) – Turkey’s highest court is expected to make a statement regarding a case to close the governing party on charges of Islamist activities on Wednesday, Turkish broadcaster NTV said.

No further information was immediately available.

The AK Party won a sweeping re-election with 47 percent of the vote last year and denies charges of violating the secular constitution by supporting Islamist activities.
