PGCC Chief Lauds Enhancement of Iran-Qatar Ties

TEHRAN (FNA)- Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Hamad al-Attiyah praised the visit to Iran by Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and his talks with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

In a statement, al-Attiyah said the visit to Tehran by the Qatari Emir, who is the current chairman of the PGCC Supreme Council, reflected the keenness of the PGCC states to establish constructive dialogue in order to strengthen ties with all countries in various fields as well as reinforce peace, security and stability in the region.

Al-Attiyah also hailed the role of Qatar in dealing with the current challenges facing the region.
