Iran to Export $2.5bln Technical, Engineering Services

A00461189.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian officials have set a target of $2.5 billion for the export of technical and engineering services for the current Iranian calendar year.

The Technical and Engineering Services Exports Organization of Iran (TESEOI) plans to export $2.5 billion worth of services during the current Iranian calendar year (ends March 20, 2009), TESEOI Director Mohammad Hassan Mehdipur said on Saturday in Almaty.

He traveled to Kazakhstan to visit some development projects currently being implemented by Iranian companies in the Central Asian state.

Mehdipur stated that in Iranian calendar year 1385 (ended March 20, 2007), the country exported $1.6 billion worth of technical and engineering services, which rose to $2.1 billion in the following year (ended March 19, 2008), Tehran Times said, citing an Iranian state-tv report.
