MP Confers With Niger’s Parliament Speaker

A04108391.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Iranian lawmaker on Wednesday underscored the importance of parliamentary cooperation in expansion of all-out ties among world states.

Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Rapporteur Kazem Jalali made the remarks in a meeting with Parliament Speaker of Niger, Mahamane Ousamane, who is currently in Tehran to attend the two-day meeting of Executive Council of Asian Parliaments.

He voiced readiness of the parliament to establish Parliamentary Friendship Group with Niger, the Islamic republic news agency reported.

Praising Niger’s positive stand on Iran, the Iranian parliamentarian called for further expansion of all-out relations.

Expressing his country’s support for Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, Ousamane called for solidarity of all Muslim states against threats and challenges facing the Islamic nations.

He also announced his country’s readiness to establish Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
