Montenegro signs Charter of Regional Cooperation in South-Eastern Europe

Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic signed here on Thursday, the Charter of Regional Cooperation in South-Eastern Europe, in the present of his Romanian and Moldovan counterparts. On this occasion, Romanian Prime Minister Calin Popescu-Tariceanu hailed Montenegro’s signing of the document, voicing hope that the country will have an important role in the region.

“I am convinced that Montenegro will make a significant contribution to the most important political forum in South-Eastern Europe, at regional and international level,” said Tariceanu after the signing ceremony.

Moldovan Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanii said the signing of the charter consolidates “Montenegro’s status as sure partner in the process of regional cooperation.”

The prime minister of Montenegro said that his country established as a priority its EU integration and the consolidation of its cooperation with the states in its area.
