Blast goes off outside stadium in Pakistan’s Peshawar

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) – A blast went off outside a stadium in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Tuesday, soon after a sports tournament had ended, causing some casualties, police said.

“The blast took place outside the gate of the sports complex where the inter-provincial games closing ceremony had just ended,” a police officer said, adding there had been several casualties.
