Bulgaria ready to buy 2.5 m2 of natural gas from Turkmenistan

Bulgaria is ready to buy 2.5 m2 of natural gas from Turkmenistan, said Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov after official ceremony on signing three documents between Bulgaria and Turkmenistan.

Bulgarian head of state said this is an expression of gratitude towards Turkmenistan over the assessment Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow gave to Bulgaria. This gas would become more and more import for the country.

“Of course, the big question is about the routes, which have to be provided with the attendance of many countries. The important thing is we can expect from our two meetings very intensive relations, which will propose concrete decisions on intensification of our economic contacts,” said Bulgarian President.

He pointed there is big concurrence on many points in countries’ views over development of energy cooperation, which finds expression in energy security and diversification.
According to Parvanov the friendship between the two countries finds expression in traditional trust between Turkmenistan and Bulgaria.
