European commissioner promise Georgia’s president aid in Eastern Partnership

The EU is ready to assist Georgia under the Eastern Partnership program, European Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighborhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner said in a meeting with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili in Brussels on Oct.29.

On Oct. 29 Saakashvili arrived in Brussels to hold meetings in the EU.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of free trade between the EU and Georgia, visa-free regime, readmission and associate membership in the EU.

On Oct. 29, Saakashvili will also attend the forum of the National Party of Europe (NPE). The United National Movement party led by Mikhail Saakashvili is a member of the NPE.
