Deputy U.S. secretary of state in Bosnia

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg is expected to meet today with political leaders in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The American embassy in Sarajevo confirmed this, and said that the talks will be dedicated to a recent proposal of modified solutions from the so-called Butmir package, and changes to the Bosnian Constitution.

The U.S. official is also expected to hold separate meetings.

Serb entity, RS, Premier Milorad Dodik has confirmed his presence, as have other leaders from the Serb, Muslim (Bosniak) and Croat parties, including Mladen Ivanić, Dragan Čović, Božo Ljubić, Sulejman Tihić, Haris Silajdžić and Zlatko Lagumdžija.
