Macedonia-Italian cultural cooperation

Macedonia and Italy will sign the third program on bilateral cooperation in the field of culture, education and science for the period from 2009 to 2012.

The document will be signed this afternoon in Skopje by Macedonia Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska and the Italian Ambassador in Macedonia.

The Macedonian-Italian cultural cooperation is in line with the treaty signed in 1998 and so far two programs on cultural cooperation have been signed.

The realization of the co-production movie “Bal-Kan-Kan”, directed by Darko Mitrevski, the traditional participation of Macedonia in the International book fair in Bologna, the representation of the prestige Venetian biennale, the manifestation “Macedonia honors st. Kiril”, UNESCO “Concert for Peace”, held in Venice and the promotion of “Macedonia’s cultural heritage” were all part of the activities that had deepen Macedonia’s cultural cooperation with Italy.
