The Second day of Romanian President Basescu visit to Moldova

Basescu: “Romania doesn`t consider Moldova from a pedestal”

Speaking about European Union, President Basescu said that Romania is not well integrated in EU. Furthermore, Basescu said that Romania doesn’t regard Republic of Moldova from a pedestal.

Basescu: “During the last five months there were positive signs”

In his speech before students in Cahul, the Romanian President said “Moldova must build the road to European Union and that during the last five months there were positive signs, that need the continuation”

Basescu: “State institutions should be connected to European values”

“To be closer to EU, Moldova needs to connect the state institutions to European values. However, many EU directives should be included in the Moldovan legislation,” said President Basescu.
