Belgium PM to pay a visit to Macedonia over emigration problem

Belgium Prime Minister Yves Leterme will pay a visit to Macedonia on March 8 to discuss the issue on candidates for political asylum from the country. Most of the people in question are Albanians from Macedonia and Presevska dolina in South Serbia, which ask for political asylum due to the rumors about the generosity of Belgium social system.

Meanwhile, the system on giving political asylum in Belgium is overloaded, Leterme noted in a letter to the EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malmström, expressing doubts organized networks are standing behind the unexpected flow of emigrants.
