EU Enlargement Commissioner to Visit Western Balkans

EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele is set to begin his first Western Balkans tour on Wednesday, with scheduled stops in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Kosovo.

Fuele said that he will work hard to offer support to the Western Balkans and provide the region with political direction in its efforts to join the EU.

“The accession process gives the countries of the Western Balkans strong support for implementing political and economic reforms. Therefore, we must progress with Serbia in a united effort and continue to promote the values which Europe was founded on,” Fuele concluded.

Fuele is scheduled to visit Serbia on Wednesday, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro on Thursday and end his journey in Albania and Kosovo on Friday.
