Council of Europe office in Montenegro shutdowns

Council of Europe decides to close office in Montenegro, Montenegro’s media said.

Council of Europe decided to close its office due to Montenegro’s achieved democratic level, which excludes any further stay.

Council of Europe will keep open its offices in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo, Montenegro’s daily “Pobjeda” said.

Montenegro joined the Council of Europe in May 2007, even though Council of Europe opened its office in 2000.
