Georgia to attend EU-Eastern Partnership representative meeting

Georgia will participate in a meeting between the Eastern Partnership and EU Foreign Ministry representatives.

According to the Georgian State Office, Vice Prime Minister, State Minister for European Integration Giorgi Baramidze and Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania will visit Sopot on the Baltic coast to attend the forum.

It The meeting will also be attended by Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski and European Commissioner for Finance Affairs Olli Rehn.

The forum will also be attended by Secretary of the European Council on Foreign Relations Catherine Ashton.

The Eastern Partnership aims to bring the EU closer to six countries of the former Soviet Union – Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Belarus.
