End of NATO mission in Albania to be marked in capital

The end of the NATO mission in Albania will be marked in its capital on Wednesday. The Albanian ambassador in Bulgaria Bujar Skendo describes NATO mission as “necessary for gaining ground for the modern culture of defense, which has been developed by the NATO structures in Brussels.”

“The Albanian army has won much from this experience and is strengthening the necessary standards in all aspects. It is quickly growing into a modern army, not only in theory, but also in practice and this is most evident in the performance of the Albanian army in the peacekeeping missions in some of the world’s regions of conflict,” the ambassador says.
