The UN Security Council will hold session on Kosovo on November 12.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has welcomed in his latest quarterly report to the UN Security Council the announcement that the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština will begin soon, and expressed readiness on behalf of the UN to back the talks in close cooperation with the EU.

Ban Ki-moon welcomed the Serbia-EU Resolution on the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) which the UN General Assembly adopted on September 9, and EU’s readiness to facilitate the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština.

Ban expressed satisfaction that the resolution was adopted on the basis of the Serbia-EU agreement, which opened possibilities for pursuing the process in the light of the region’s European perspective.
