Moldova: PCRM requests Constitutional Court to recount votes

The Communists Party (PCRM) Monday submitted an application to the Constitutional Court, demanding recounting the votes cast in the November 28 elections.

The PCRM demands that all the votes should be recounted as the voting reports compiled by the electoral bureaus contain mistakes and the election results were determined with multiple violations of the electoral legislation.

In a communique, the PCRM says it attached over 200 pages to its application. They represent mainly voting reports, complaints and challenges.

In its application to the Constitutional Court, the PCRM says the number of voters written on additional lists and of ballots declared invalid was increased and the results were fixed.

On December 1, the PCRM filed an application to the Central Election Commission, asking it to take measures to identify the causes of the massive electoral frauds.
