EP to send observes to Albanian elections

The European Parliament (EP) is expected to send a group of observers to monitor the May 8th local elections, media reported on Sunday (April 24th). The observers will come as an independent group to join other international teams monitoring the process. The presence of observers was requested by Prime Minister Sali Berisha. Next month’s elections are expected to attract the highest number of observers since the general elections in 1997.
