Nawaz Sharif on track to win Pakistan elections

Nawaz Sharif’s party will probably win the elections in Pakistan, officials said Sunday.

According to preliminary results, the party won most of the seats (16 of the 23) in the National Assembly.

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also congratulated Sharif and the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz party on their “emphatic victory.”
