Turkey and Azerbaijan held joint military exercises

The opening ceremony of the Azerbaijan-Turkey joint military exercises was held at Garaheybat Training Centre of Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry on July 16.

During his speech at the event, the Chief of Main Operation Department of the Armed Forces, Major-General Eyvaz Jafarov, said that Azerbaijani-Turkish relations are developing at high level, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry reported.

Jafarov also noted that the meetings of Azerbaijan-Turkey High Level Cooperation Council held in Izmir in 2011 and in Gabala in 2012 with the participation of the heads of two countries are of great importance.
