Serbian President to address PACE

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić will address the regular session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), which begins on Monday in Strasbourg.

The Serbian president will address the the plenary gathering.

As the Serbian parliament announced, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Speaker of the Russian State Duma Sergei Naryshkin will also address PACE’s autumn plenary.

The session will address issues relating to national security and access to information, the functioning of democratic institutions in Bosnia-Herzegovina and children’s right to physical integrity. There have been requests for urgent debates on the situation in Syria, and on the EU’s human rights agenda.
